I wanted to like this place! I feel like it might have some potential when the food is fresh. I went around 4pm and there was plenty of food, and it was warm, but not fresh. No drinks, just water, which was fine. There was one lady in the front, very sweet lady who was doing some side work. It was about 90 degrees outside or more and there was no AC. I was sweating heavily inside. For this kind of establishment, I was expecting cheap food, but the buffet was over $20. Even if it was $15, it would have been just tolerable. $20 for soso food and no AC is not great. I likely wouldn’t come back. The lady was nice though!

Although most of the dishes were delicious especially the lechon and the dinuguan, many of them were lukewarm which was not ideal. The desserts were okay and the inside of the restaurant was not crowded at all. It can be easy to miss since it's located in a nondescript strip mall. Overall, it's worth trying once since Filipino buffets are hard to come by.

I’ve been coming to Filipinana since I was a kid, and it’s always been a spot full of good memories for me and my family. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant still has that cozy, family-style atmosphere that makes you feel at home. They offer a wide variety of Filipino dishes, so there’s definitely something for everyone to enjoy. That said, over the years I’ve noticed the quality of the food has gone down a bit. Some of the dishes don’t taste quite as fresh or flavorful as they used to, and it’s a little disappointing considering how good it once was. The buffet prices have also gone up. It is understandablee with inflation but it makes it harder to justify for the current quality. It’s still a nice place to come once in a while, especially if you arrive hungry and want to try a little bit of everything. My family and I have always loved the halo-halo, and while it’s still good, it doesn’t quite live up to the hype it gets on social media anymore. Overall, Filipinana remains a decent spot for a hearty Filipino meal and some nostalgia. I just wish the food quality would return to the way it used to be because this place really does hold a special place in my

I saw a video on Facebook about this place and thought I should check it out. When I first got there it looks run down. Went in and it's old school tables, chairs and booths. Someone from another booth said welcome in and told me to sit anywhere and feel free to get food etc. There wasn't that much selection for the food. It was only one buffet table available and some of the food was dried up. I wasn't impressed at all. Some of the food did taste good and others not my choice. I was not impressed with this buffet etc. I hav eaten Filipino food before and it was nothing like this. Don't be fooled by their advertising.

Filipiniana Restaurant is a hidden gem in Houston with a great assortment of Filipino favorites. I finally found another great spot for Dinuguan, and their chicken and pork adobo was spot on—rich, flavorful, and comforting. The dessert selection is also impressive, with plenty of options to round out the meal. Customer service is top notch, making the whole experience even better.
